What I’ll miss about America.

Here’s a list of things that I will miss once I’m back in Singapore.

1. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream pints which come on the cheap. Stater Brothers are selling B&J pints at 2 for USD6! On the average I think I’ve had about three pints a week.

2. You can sue anyone here. As Aaron says “Didn’t like the service? Sue them! You can sue anyone for anything! This is AAaaaaamericaaaa!” But don’t get me wrong, I didn’t and don’t intend to sue anyone. Lol.

3. You can return or exchange ANY purchases you’ve made within 30 days, no questions asked. This is specially useful for me because as much as I hate to admit it, I buy a lot of stuff out of impulse. So far, I think I’ve returned and exchanged two to three items I’ve bought.

4. Sonic. It became my best friend fast food chain when I was in Oklahoma. First, it was the nearest to the hotel and second, it’s CHEAP! I love the Toaster Sandwiches. Although in my opinion, it’s unbelievably unhealthy. Hahaha, what do I expect from a fast food chain anyway.

5. Freeflow of sweet tea (and sometimes soft drinks) at restaurants.

6. Friendly people everywhere!

7. Grocery and department stores like Ross, Walmart, Marshalls, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Target. I can survive purely on these stores.

8. Factory outlet stores. I went crazy at the Camarillo Premium Outlets on my first week here in California, which led to me cutting down on a lot of expenses while in Oklahoma which resulted to #4 and #11.

9. The weather!! Not Oklahoma weather though, the tornado season is a little freaky, imagine hearing the tornado warning signals twice during my entire stay there and the nerve wrecking feeling while you tune in the local weather channel and wait for further instructions (to hide or not to hide?)

10. VICTORIA’S SECRET!

11. IHOP (International House Of Pancakes). I had breakfast, lunch or dinner and even supper there almost every other day when I was in California and Oklahoma. The meals there are cheap!! And the best thing was, the IHOP in Oklahoma was just across the hotel and it’s open 24 hours!

12. The Marriott Residence Inn in Bricktown, Oklahoma City. We were pampered to the max during our stay there. No household chores for four weeks!!! Everyday we had housekeeping so we didn’t really have to wash a single dish or vacuum the floor or make our beds or wash our towels at all. But I made my side of the bed anyway, I just couldn’t stand looking at a messy bed.

That’s all I can think of for now. I’ll update this list once I think of more stuff! :)
